Organized in 1836 and incorporated in 1837, Holly Springs was the center of social and cultural life when cotton was king. Evidence of pride in this colorful heritage is abundant. Over 200 buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places in this antebellum town, which enjoys the distinction of being spared destruction during the Civil War. Today, our community bustles with events year-round including: the Holly Springs Pilgrimage, the Kudzu Festival, a Christmas tour of homes and parade, Hummingbird Festival at Strawberry Plains Audubon Center and various events hosted at the Marshall County Agricultural Center such as various rodeos, horse shows and the annual Holly Springs Charity Walking Horse Classic. Come and visit us! Spend a Day or a Life Time and let the Holly Springs business community welcome you through the Holly Springs, Mississippi Chamber of Commerce Web Site.
